India's Credibility is at stake.
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 01, 2008 11:29 AM

Our PM was serious when he threatened to quit over Nuke deal.He was right in more than one way as India's credibility is at stake in international arena,if the deal is not signed. No one would take India seriously at G8 Summit as it would lose moral authority to speak or suggest anything to the world at large when India could not stick on to its convictions. The PM's spin doctors are now giving a different interpretation to his ultimatum to Sonia Gandhi -- that what was a stake was not the prime minister's honour but the country's credibility in the international arena. And that no one will take India seriously if the government does not operationalise the deal. Why would Putin believe India if the prime minister gives an undertaking on climate change at the G-8 meet in Japan? It is time for think tank in the Congress to take stock of the situation and act accordingly. Now Kashmir is burning as Azad Govt did one thing wrong without consulting the High Command putting the clock back to 1990. Of late, Kashmir was peaceful and things were moving in India's favour as a peaceful Kashmir is as important. But Azad's one childish act has put every body in quandary over his intention. Where was the need for him to act in such a manner when the elections were round the corner. Kashmir need more developmental activities to banish poverty and create employment opportunity to one and all educated who are languishing there in streets and roads of Srinagar and elsewhere.Arrest the trend.
