Thank you Majumdar for providing the historical Hindu link to Kashmir.Everyone who claims Kashmir to be a Muslim state must know this fact.Further i must add that Pakisthan which fought three battles with India and lost,the last one which saw the birth Bangladesh,thanks to Gen.Sam Manekshaw,who expired recently,took to the cowardly act of intruding into Kashmir and setling their people in Kashmir and planted their cronies like Geelani et. If I remember right,at one point of time,the congress Govt.legalised all settlers paving way increase in muslim population.these people gradually set up a hate campaign against India to which the younger generayion of Kasmiris fell prey.But the first to blame for all the ills today is Nehru himself who after the first war of Pakisthan unecessarily took the matter to U.N.Beleiving in non violence he thought that everybody will be like him.Today the real kashmir brahmins are living out of their state like refugees in other states while people from outside are it to be their land.This shows that violence has to met with violence.As many writers to this coloumn have expressed,it high time the Central Govt.should cancel all concessions to Kashmir.
