Sam the greatest
by Nagarajan Viswanathan on Jun 27, 2008 09:24 AM

the field marshal was not only a perfect soldier, great general, fine gentle man, intelligent tactician, ideal humanitarian, fine management pundit, server of the humanity, with fine sence of humour.since i was his pilot in east when he was the army commander(GOC in C Eastern Command) i had the previledge of observing him very closely.i had not met such a perfect human being in my life.he was virtually a demi God.i learnt a lof of fine things from him.i feel that historians like Mr Guha must write a book on him for the posterity to benifit.20th century saw people like swami Vivekananda,Nethaji,Arobindo, the 2 Mothers,Anna and MGR etc. Sam is all of them put together.the more we remember him the better will we become.some of his great qualities are typicaly that of the parcies like Tatas and others.i wish to express my gratitude to that community for bringing forth such a great son.
