Sam Bahadur
by Pankaj Gadkari on Jun 28, 2008 01:20 PM

I bow to this great son of India and prey that his soul may rest in eternal peace.
As a young lad of 18 years,I still recall the heady days of that month of December 1971.It was a dream time in the life of any youngester. After the shameful defeat of 1962 at the hands of the chinese, this adventure on the part of the Indian army was totally a surprise.
And the architect of this victory was "Sam Bahadur"
I still recollect the pic of one hoarding that had appeares in the Illustrated Weekly then, put up on the western front somewhere near Karachi.
It went something like this " Now you are entering Pakistan.Remember that Indian women are the most beautiful in the world. If you still cant resist, hands in your pocket and think of Sam"
What a man sir,what a man.
