SAM BAHADUR THE GREAT SODIER OF THE MEN AND OFFICERS

As a young officer of the 1971 war my SALUTE is due to THE GREATEST GENERAL IN POST INDEPENDENCE ERA OF INDIA. It was his leadership that ably assisted by Army Commander Lt Gen JS Arora and his colleague corps commanders that paved the way for capture of biggest surrender in 93000 Pak soldiers after II World War in 1871. His ‘tete a tete’ with Indira Gandhi on timing of War is history well remembered by Indian soldiers and Defence Anaysts. It is unfortunate that any General (FIELD Marchal for that matter) has never been honored with Bharat Ratna in India unlike any other country of our magnitude and strength.
