Field General Maneckshaw
by Sunil Kumar on Jun 26, 2008 10:26 AM

Admittedly, Maneckshaw is a national hero but do not forget the sacrifices of Gen Jagjit Singh Ahluwalia who made Tiger Niazi surrender and innumerable foot soldiers who died liberating East Pakistan (Bangladesh) which in turn now is thankless to Hindu-majority India and is instrumental in fomenting trouble all across India. Maneckshaw like a typical Parsi reached the top due to the British establishment and his own intrinsic capabilities.May the Zoroastrian hero Maneckshaw's spirit inspire India to defend its borders and avenge national insults.
