we are supposed to look for alternate sources of energy but at the cost of national security. it would have been more fruitful had the govt pursued deals with oil producing nations as aggressively as it is doing for the nuke deal. Nuke deal doesnt gaurentee any fuel security to india and it opens indian nuclear facilities to foreign inspection. This will have grave implications on india's independent nuclear research. If india has to sustain its current pase of growtn it will have to depend on Oil as nuclear energy alone cannot fulfill this demand. Nuclear energy is a very smalll percentage of the total energy consumption of any country. Its not in the best interest of the country to put its security at risk for an energy resource which is still going to be a very small percentage of its total consumption.
