An additional point against the deal is the environmentally hazardous effects of nuclear fuel esp in case of accidents and in the face of terrorists who reside in our ranks. Our nuclear plants would be sitting ducks for a terrorist attack and given the lackadaisical attitude of indian poeople towards security of any kind, the deal with its 100 plants could be a recipe for unmitigated disaster.
