the money Obama collected is not his own ... that money is for fighting the election, for buying TV ads, travel, organizing events etc. It's not Obama's personal wealth. He will not be paying taxes on it.
Mayawati has lots of personal wealth - not quite explainable for poor background she is from. she was a school teacher I think, not a brothell owner that she could have made a lot of money there.
