Indian Communists - Still living in 1890s
by Kris iyer on Jun 16, 2008 07:56 PM

So, our communists are going to be a lot cleverer than Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Mao and the whole lot of them? These foreign communists dreams lie buried in their mausoleums and their countries in the "grip" of capitalism.
1) Is it a freudian slip that this ancient communist, with a Marxist mind of 1890s, said, "India coming into the LEFT GRIP"?
2) The interviewer sd 've asked him, "How do you get economic growth without development"? He says, under them India will have economic growth but no development. Typical Marxist "hair-splitting". The Indian Communits are about the most "shameless" you will find anywhere in human history. Opposed Indian independence, defended the murderous Mao, even as his "great leap forward" resulted in the death of 20 million Chinese due to starvation, defended the Khmer Rouge, even as they were getting through killing 2 million Cambodians. To discuss anything with the communists is a very frustrating exercise.
I would rather try to change the minds of Islamic terrorists looking for the 72 virgins.

Under the "left grip", India will have a revolution alright. All the left rulers and the leftist cadres and their sympathisers would be killed, as the Indonesians did to their communists in the 1960s.
Bengal and Kerala is yet to see the "true colours" of these people. Perhaps, the fear of the Indian army, keeps them within bounds. Look at the violence the WB rulers have unleashed on poor peasants in NandiGram. Local elections" Shambles.
