He became prophet at the age of 40.Till the 40 years ,Makkaites hailed him alameen or honest man.when he statrted propagating, they atacked him and boycotted. Then he went to Madina after 13 years since he cannot stay in Makkah anymore.
Then how you can say the first thing he was done was removing idols.
Deepak, I agree idols were removed. That was when the most of the Makkaites became believers of Islam, they themselves removed.
