People Criticizing BJP over Nuclear Deal are missing some facts.....
by Vikas Bhatt on Jun 12, 2008 01:09 PM

BJP is not showing any double standards since it has said that it is not against the deal but merely seeks details of Hyde Act that seeks to take away India's control of it's nuclear weaponization programs. What is wrong with that? Besides Congress didn't take the Parliament into confidence & didn't seek a debate with the opposition on it till it was too late as it tried to take credit for the whole deal which was originally started by NDA. In its original discussion the Hyde Act was not there was only included after UPA renegotiated the discussions. Also even if BJP endorse the deal with Hyde Act, UPA cannot implement it till Left Commie bastiches approve it so your whole tirade is misguided & baseless. Also one wonders if Nuclear Energy is such an environment friendly & the future of developed countries then why has USA & other developed countries like France, Australia etc not added any new nuclear reactors for generating energy in the last decade & a half? The reason is that Nuclear Energy is expensive, very expensive & one that can wreck our economy if we get too dependent on these countries nuclear fuel for our future energy needs. Besides the deal can only help us generate only 8% of our energy needs for such a large amount of money [that can help revive USA economy as their nuclear industry is stagnating & stopped growing] which is way too insufficient. We should work for solar energy for future with so much money at stake.
