RE:Effective orgnisation- ISI
by JGN on Jun 11, 2008 01:52 PM

Mr. Palani, the onus for communal harmony rests on all citizens of India, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion or region. You cannot expect the hindus only to tolerate every thing in the name of secularism while the followers of "Semitic religions" ridicule our native culture day in and day out.

There is a limit to tolerance and the majority in India are no more willing to tolerate the belligerance of Muslims and Christians. They have also learnt to retaliate in the same coin. India has the second largest Muslim population (first being Indonesia). If the majority were so intolerant of other religions, you will not find such large number of minorities in India enjoying all benefits offered by a Secular Democratic Republic. There is no democracy in Islamic states. The common-man in the Islamic countries are at the mercy of the "Kings" or other dictactors.

Gujarat riots was the only one in Independent India where the majority community used more force than required while in all other riots they were at the receiving end. I am not justifying the Gujarat riots here but it is a lesson for all. Similarly in other parts of the world also, the people will no more tolerate the Islamic fundamentalism.

A few months back a cleric of Indonesia had said that "if the West wants peace, let them convert to Islam" Are you subscribing to that theory? Do you think that peace cannot preavil on planet earth till the entire population converts to "Islam" ?
