I have seen myself that NREG is reaching landless laborers in Andhra, thanks to, strong directions from the chief minister. There is actually not much work to do but people spend an hour at work place. Later, some of them go to their regular commitments with the farmers to work on farmlands or just take it easy for the day. This leads to shortage of labor and middle-level farmers have to pay more and take a cut in their final profit. This is actually turning them against the govt. Whose voted are more? The landless labor or low, middle-level farmers?
