Kris, Sufism is nothing unique. All its main mysticism teachings are borrowed from Hinduism. All mainstream Muslims such as the Salafi, Wahabi, Deobandi, Sunni, Shiite etc. consider Sufis as non-Muslims as the mysticism they teach is not part of either the Quran or mohamad's teachings. You must read the books written by Anwar Shaik, a pakistani philosopher. where he analyzes the Sufi mysticism and debunks them.

I agree with Deepak. The sufis were proselytizers and anti-Hindu
