Most sufi saints were radical Islamist who worked with the back up of soldiers. None of these so called Sufis had any love for Hindus or Hinduism which they considered jahil & jahiliyat...it is said the Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Jalal who proselytized in Bengal dropped severed heads of cows in village wells...the soldiers would then blackmail innocent villagers to becoming Muslims who would otherwise be ostracized from the community. Deceit, force and lies have always been the main force for any predatory proselytizing religion, particularly Islam. Hindus worship anything with a hint of divinity, which is why they flock at grave sites of these mostly unedifying 'sufi saints'.
