Hi, good thinking but two wrongs never make a right. The suppression was incorrect, however the reservation is also not paying anything. This is not for Brahmins,upper cast or anything else. This is for castism, for country, our country is not achieving anything with this reservation other than political benefit for these shrewd politicians. Putting wrong person at wrong place by providing external benefit is not going to pay, this is a very simple fact. Dont think like stubborn, there can be much better way to improve the society and country as well. Such as providing free education to financialy weak, making competitive environment for them. Wave off there fee for competitive exams etc etc.. But you cannot make anybody walk on its own until you leave them to walk alone by just providing superficial support.
Hope now its simple for you to understand what Rajan was trying to say...
