The problem with most of BJP supporters is that they don't want to go back and see what BJP had said in the past.You go and see their manifesto of last election.
It is not an isolated case. When Manmohan singh was FM in Narsimha Rao Govt, L. K. Adwani is on record in Parliament saying that IT limit should be raised to Rs 1 lakh. When they were in Govt, they did not raise the limit even by a Rupee. They did a nominal raise just before 2004 election. But look at UPA govt. it has raised it twice in 2005 and in 2008 and substantially.
Look at BJP's position on nuclear issue.
Look at the differences in statements between L K Adwani and Jaswant Singh on Kandahar.
I am particularly astonished by the middle class support to BJP. Just take a pen and paper and go issue by issue. You will realise that Congress with all its fault is much more transparent and reliable.
As far as reservation is concerned - Congress had talked about SC ST reservation only. OBC reservation was introduced by V P Singh which was supported by BJP. You may not be aware but the first Mulayam govt, first Lalu govt, first Mayawati govt came with BJP Support.
Similarly you may not be aware but BJP and comunist were together in defeating Rajiv Gandhi - who is the architech of the modern India. You go through the magazines of Rajiv era and you will find comunist and BJP together denouncing him as a COMPUTER boy due to his zeal for computerisation and modernisation.
