USA does not bother about democracies in developing countries. It had all along been supporting Pakistan against us. It developed friendly reation with communist China about 30 yrs ago, through Ping Pong diplomacy of Henry Kissinger.
If it suits USA, it will through democratically elected govt and support a puppet dictator. There r many examples of this in history.
