Our country is a secular one & moreover Hinduism is in majority. Pls. understand the fact that if a particular community which is in majority cries, no-one will care about it... due to some reasons (especially for vote, publicity etc). Welcome to the world of reality.
Each & every citizen in India who are 'Hindus' are finding answers for the questions you have raised... but answer is it is a game which is/will be played by politicians, otherwise we might have not lost Kashmir.
Irony is 'Religion of Peace' wanted 'peace' by killing others :-). Meaning of peace is totally different, it seems we have to educate them that violence is not correct path.
They will learn soon about it from our country in the manner Ashoka, Buddha, Jesus, Gandhi learnt about Non-violence.
