Energy security!
by brookie on Jul 31, 2008 11:50 AM

How do we ensure india has energy security when the whole world doesnt have, that too while depending on the world counries. It is a big joke particularly considering hyde act and 123.

- Can india stop testing its nuclear capabilities keeping the aggressive and combat ready countries 0n our borders
- Can India avoid doing nuclear research on arsenal and latest developments in that field by solely depending on US
- Can govt. guarantee such security to its people by making them totally depending on US for its technology transfer
- Can this govt assure energy security with US changing its stance whenever it sees opportunity in the region for oil, gas and other resources.
- With hostile PAK / China on our backyard but US keeping its goodie guy attitude with them, can india be happy with US dependence.

Above all even if US guarantees fuel supply with india not pursuing weapon development, no other G7 counties are bound to supply fuel to india. Japan, australia are best indications on that with their denial to suppy to india.
