RE:LTTE problem: The root cause

Since all of us seems to sympathize with the SL Tamils, what can be done to help these poor soul?
We all seems to agree that if nothing is done, the Sinhalese will eventually wipe out the SL Tamils.
We all seems to not totally agree with the LTTE, but being pragmatic- who can help these poor soul if not the LTTE?
