Islam and for that reason all monoistic religion declare that their is the only true religion. They can not tolerate any other religion besides theirs and the object is to convert everyone into their fold.
There are some basic philosophical differences in the way God is perceived and in the way the religion is practiced between monoistic religions and Hinduism. Those who follow this to the extreme are causing much senseless destruction in this world.
On the other hand Hinduism is quite an open minded religion. A Hindu respects people of all religions and treats them with respect.
Hiduism is the mother of all religions. Its an ancient religion whose scriptures have been written by enlightened RISHIS. Hindu scriptures are not in the form of thretening commandments to people. Rather they are the words of wisdom. Those who feel that theirs is the only way to God are indeed in error.
No one can change the words of scriptures now. We can only control our feelings. We can only control our sentiments. Therefore in this hour of test & trouble when public sentiments could really make things go haywire we should all control our anger. We should not let sentiments rule us.
