Looking at the recent event happening across India it seems like we are presented with another Kargil like opportunity to settle the score for ever. One mistake I won't like politicians to commit is pushing large #s of soldiers to the border and then pulling them back under international or Nuc. Blackmailing pressure.
Here 1) Armed forces can probably ignore the pull back and simply launch themselves on to enemies and 2) the personal body-guards of Sonia, Patil and MMS can also take out easy targets.
