BJP AND CONGRESS MUST BEHAVE AS NATIONALIST PARTIES

The Indian political scenario at this moment is largely dominated by two major political formulations - Congress and BJP. Generally speaking, Congress derives its strength from top and bottom while BJP enjoys support from the middle strata of the society, the peripheral parts are shared by the regional parties often led by patriarchs and local satraps who survive through anti-incumbency rhetorics directed towards the major ruling party at the center. Due to escalating bargaining power of the regional parties, the major parties quite often succumb to the pressure of micro level political equations which many times demand sacrifice of larger national interests.
