There was in incident during Prophets time, when christians are in fear of islam. Two christians who came on business purpose wanted to stay overnight in Madina, the holy place of muslims. They have been provided with shelter by Prophet himself that too in Madina Masjid! This shows islam's one of the values in islam saying provide help to the needed.
