We took all this lying down, and continue to take this 60 years after independence. The biggest problem lies with our constitution, and that restricts our ability to fight corruption and terrorism. Being democratic we let people make their own rules and religion to suit their agenda. The diversity of the people and sheer population, breeds total disregard for any semblance of ground reality. Take the case "Kalawati". a much publicised story of poverty and debt, and young congress leader choose her example in Loksabha to support need of electricity to improve her lot. A totally stupid example, implying that to support such "kalawatis" , nucler power is necesity of the country - what an idiotic idea. "kalawati has umpteen children, and govt is expected to fund each of them for life and they will produce many more umpteem families as they find easy recourse to air their griviences (wrongly) to eager politicians -who use them to garner vote banks, without really addressing their problems - "illiteracy." The news about schooling from "madrassa" eligible for formal education is one more disastrous move, legaliizing education based purely on religious fundamental
