Cash-for-vote
by R Chandran on Jul 25, 2008 01:17 PM

Yes, let us study the three first permutations that could be reasonably true in the claims made by the three MPs who waded the money bundles in the open forum of Lok Sabha witnessed by few attendees and millions on TV upfront and later in repeats.

1 - They were bribed by one political group in collaboration with another and few persons got involved in physically meeting the targetted MPS to induce to take bribe for a favour to vote for the Trust Resolution. This means these 3 MPs are easily vulnerable to the act as understood by the bribe giver, otherwise they would have targetted some others easily.
2 - The story is fabricated and arranged so nicely like what we see in TV serials to make belief that the bribe payment of advance instalment was definitely arranged by the interested political party for bringing them to a humiliation.
3 - This is a fact that the bribe act really took place as claimed by the three MPs. These 3 MPs cannot have anyway got the confidence motion defeated? What next?
