Kajolika, there is no doubt about the economic reform started by the then finance minister Manmohan Singh, that does not mean that his keen interest in the nuclear deal is a correct move. There are a few nuclear expert (Ex-BARC) who openly expressed their apprehension about this deal. Moreover the exhorbitant cost involves to increse appx. 4 to 6 percent energy is a blunder, I believe. Our politicians play games as per their convenience in life. India is bound to have problems from this deal. The simple reason is that, we will be completely dependent on the suppliers of nuclear fuels like uranium and there they will dictate terms to us. You might say we also import a bulk need oil for our domestic need. True, but in this case if any country refuses to supply the same, we shall only have to curtail our use. In nuclear energy, we need to invest huge in the infrastructure that will not only go waste, the burden of this huge loss would go to the common man.
