When we have all this hype of India being nuclear power, there is a price we are paying for it which is never exposed. We used up all the plutonium which we had reserved for fast breeder reactor project (which could have given us all energy requirement in India when it reaches criticality) for the Pokhran tests. Now, whatever plutonium we would get from the civil reactors we cannot use it for military use. We are paying the price of being nuclear power by having energy scarcity now.
