You do not understand the whole thing. The consitutual experts who brought in the anti-defection law are not laymen. Anyone who joins a political party must first understand the programme and policies of that party. Only after convincijng yourself you should joint that party and once you join, you are bound to act according to the stand taken by that party. For example, the N-deal issue must have been discussed in detail by the bJP/TDP etc in their party forum and then they decided a court of action to be followed in the house. The decision is taken when majority of the elcted members agree to the stand. If few members disagree, the matter will be further discussed with them and explained to them in detail and after that they have to toe the official line. If they disagree they can leave the party, resign from the membership of the house and seek a fresh mandate. Please give vote to the condidates based on their party affiliation and not on their individual capacity barring few exceptional cases. So once you are in a party you have to follow the diktat of the party. It is not slavery or bonded labour, but it is called DISCIPLINE, which many of us lack.
