1. Dr. Singh is a great individual, a man of principle. But as I said eh doesnt have the political genes. As Imran khan said once (I guess about ganguly or shoaib malik), for a leader to be good, he should be able to earn his position in the team based on his performance and that will gain him respect from the team members. Failing to do makes him less confident of his actions and move and a bad leadership. Dr. Singh didnt win any major election in his entire life. He is PM because of Ms. Gandhi and nobody else. 2. Well, this is what I can expect from congress. Congress plays dirty politics, because BJP does too. Congress MPs take bribes, because BJP MPs does too. Congress favours minority, because SP does too. Such justification only shows the lack of morality in the party actions. 3. Socialism did help us to some extent, in the early years of our country. Just because we protected our economy, we have today rich investors/bussinessgroups like tatas, ambanis. But it just came little late. China opened up the economy (being a comunist country) in 80's. We were just late and it shows the lack of vision in congress leadership. Moreover the so called architects of modern india Mr. Singh and Late PV RAO were not encouraged by the bight future ahead to do economic reform. They were forced to to do that, by the depleted forex and a dying and failing economy and refusal from world bank to give any more loan.
