It is very satisfying to note that the Congress has won the trust motion quite comfortably.As a matter of fact, i would like to congratulate Mr.Rahul Gandhi for his excellent speech in the parliament.He has good delivery and presence of mind.Above all the contents of his speech were very relevant.He is going to be to-morrow\\\'s parliamentarian.I feel other MPs should learn from him.There is need on the part of each and every MP to grasp the subject and talk on the subject and educate the people,as it is their duty as a representative to enlighten the subjects.I now like to draw the attention to the farmer\\\'s story ,narrated by Mr.Rahul Gandhi.Kalavati\\\'s case is the burning example of our poor farmers.We have done disservice to our farming community and therefore,they commit sucides.our banks have not given adequate and the required loans to our farmers.Only farm production loan is not enough;there is a need to render non-farm loan along with the production loan by commercial banks.NABARD has not done in any manner substantially on this score;they have not given COMPRESEHENSIVE LOAM to the farmers so far(I.E PRODUCTION CREDIT AND NON-PRODUCTION CREDIT together,which is required for other than farming activities to supplement their income.I, as Consultant in NABARD(1974-78),did prepare a comprehensive scheme for farmers in the NORTH-EASTERN region.Dr.R.K.
