Awaken India

Its not about who won or lost the ‘Confidence Motion’. It is also not about whether India should go for the nuclear deal or not. Please understand it is not an India Vs. Pakistan cricket match. There is much more at stake than what a common man or for that matter even politicians with vested interests can imagine.
Both fronts, the NDA as well as the UPA and its respective allies, need to justify their stand to the country. The anti-nuke deal proponents need to explain why India should not sign IAEA agreement and if so what are the other best alternatives available. While the ones for it need to explain why India should sign IAEA agreement and how it is the best and the only option available. I think it is very important to weigh all options before taking a stand.
It is important for the nation as a whole to ensure that all options are explored and that the best and the most appropriate one is choosen. We cannot outrightly discard the fact that there are other options for generating energy, especially the renewable energy through the natural resources like the solar, wind, tidal and bio energy, especially consdering the country’s size, costal line and the fact that India is an agrarian economy with a high cattle and human population (for bio fuel). Many such projects are currently delivering positive and financially viable results in some of the most advanced nations including the US, Europe and the scandanevian countries.
