Rejoinder to my last message

I had earlier said - this nuke deal is bad because (a) it addresses only 6% of countries need by 2020 and (b) tech offered is 40year old.

Some of the comments indicate people have been typing without reading -so for clarity I am posting this

Answers to issues raised by boarders.

1. Am I against a Nuke deal?
Answer: No - I am for it - but the specific nuke deal the Cong is signing is a bad deal - read the next answer.

2. What Am I asking for?
Answer: 6% by 2020 is nothing. There is no point doing a nuke deal for such a small quantity. The Govt should have gunned for 10% by 2012, 15% by 2015 - at least 25% by 2020.
Remember - France generates 80% of electricity from Nuclear reactors

3. One boarder said that India can always increase the % after 2020.
Answer: No - we cannot because how much electricity is generated is limited by how much fuel we get. In order to increase the % - we again have to renegotiate. This should be tough.

Before u jump into a dance on how smart Manmohan is and how India gets a great deal - think - 6% by 2020 is nothing - not even peanuts. It should have been better negotiated.
