Victory at what cost?
by S Shrikanth on Jul 22, 2008 09:05 PM

A 12% inflation, indifference towards farmers suicide, food grain shortage, thousands reeling under flood, common man crying with pain due to price rise, Ambanis-Tatas becoming double rich. And Govt showing that nuclear deal is cure for all wef today. :-(

The PM is a battered victor. Just 4 votes more than 271. Is it a momemt to celebrate or regret?

Here are the costs the PM has paid:

1. Bringing his numbers in parliament from 345 to 275 (just 4 more than the majority).
2. You did defections/abstention from opposition camp.
3. You made a crime convict to Coal Minister.
4. You too support from hard core criminal convicts serving imprisonment who are convicted for mass murders, rape, arson, extortion and anti national activities.
5. You have ignored common man issues and put your personal agenda on top.

As a result, you Govrnment is really in ICU now as you are facing stiffer challenge to save it than earlier.

You are the weakest ever. You have completely lost what you gained the respect you gained during 1991-96.

You have won the battle but lost the war.
