India is already buying nuclear material from France and Russia. But the US companies need this(deal) to be able to be trade .. what is wrong with US companies also being allowed to sell in India? Its time to rationlize Indo-US relationship away from cold war rhetoric.
The Left wanted to use this pretext to gain electoral points, the BJP was caught unawares by maya.. MMS romped home free.
There were many issues the oposittion could have brought up but this was NOT it.
