In politics, everyday is a new day. Never underestimate CPM or any other political party. BJP had secured just 2 seats in 1984 and everybody had buried this political party, but in 1989 it had 84, 1991 it rose to 120 and later ousted Congress from the centre.
The leftists got 63 seats in 2004 on anti-congress plank, but supported congress Govt at centre for 4 years. Mulayam and congress were thirsty for each others blood for 4 years, but now "underwear" friends. Maya and congress became close friends to teach a lesson to mulayam a year back, but now arch enemies.
So, in Indian politics never count out anyone.
Tomorrow is a brand new day with fresh challenges.
For congress today it could be a V-day, but they are severely bruised and highly vulnerable due to the new supporters( criminals,convicts and defectors). Will they show them the way or give them the lions share? I think Soren has already got his first instalment.
