RE:Explained: Why BJP against the N-Deal
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 21, 2008 09:55 PM

Helllo .. do you know where India keeps its nuclear missiles? Yes, everyone knows that India is an N-Power country - just like US, UK, China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran and N. Korea. But no one (except for the RAW, the PM and a few elite of the Indian millitary) really knows how much uranium we have, where we keep it and how long it takes us from the raw components to the long range nuke-head missiles. This is the part where IAEA comes to picture. Also, though it is not mandated to use the raw components of a nuclear device (uranium, plutonim and other heavy metals) for domestic purpose. But that's the whole point. If everyone agrees, the govt can decide on freeing up these resources for the betterment of the nation. There is no "deal" in the Nuke-deal, except the fact that India can become more energy independent and flurish if everything goes well.
