RE:Benefits of Nuclear Deal
by Gireesh on Jul 21, 2008 01:52 AM

Dear Singh
don't get lost in your own world..
India did not build more reactors NOT because we don't have the technology for making reactors. BUT WE DON"T HAVETHE required fuel. If we had got most of our reactors are running currently at half the capacity because of SHORTAGE of fuel. SO if we can get fuel for those reactors, that itself is sufficientto make the current contribution of Nueclear electricity to 5-6 %.. And then if we have a supply of fuel we can add more reactors. Having more reactors will help us to improve our own technical capabilities to purify Uranium and also use THorium which available in our own geagraphical boundaries.

We would be foolish if we plan to depend on the current sources of energy. 53 % of our elecricity comes from coal. This is fast exahasting in an exponential fashion. So we need to identify alternative sources. Nuclear fuel is definitely one of the options and we can't go on having an isolation with the international community.

Also our isolation on the issue of neuclear policy is preventingb us from getting a permenant seat in UN security council.

Opposition of Left parties is based on their idea that they can muster the Muslim votes in Kerala and Bengal. All these leader of left criticise US every now and then..but they go to US for traement, send their kids for education there.. All this gimmick is to make the public a fool.
So don't get into their trap.

How long are we going to depend on mi
