Think positive

When Rome is burning Nero is fiddling. What do the parties hope to achieve? How they propose to solve the energy problem when we are facing darkness at noon? Oil is depleting, polluting & costlier by the day. There will be fewer exporters who can manipulate supplies to their advantage. The equation has changed from the days Sheik Yamani wanted to price the oil low to keep the renewables at bay in 1980's and succeeded. Now there have been no major discoveries in forty years & whatever is left is difficult to get them out.

US is the destroyer but also the creator! The world looks to them (no disrespect to the rest!). Al Gore has challenged them to produce every kilowatt of electricity through renewwables like wind, solar etc in ten years. He will rather be out of the debilitating politics (what about ours then?). Many scientists agree with him that it is doable than spending equal amounts in dependency syndrome of foreign fossil fuel to 70%. Boon Pickens & others are already getting into the act to get renewables priced less than oil.

Solar energy can be tapped soon in greater quantity & the cells are from sand! They are getting cheaper. Nothing is impossible forever & the momentum is gaining speed. Forty minutes of sunlight is enough for one year supply! Also sunlight falling in 1% in Sahara desert can power the world. Our potential is estimated at 600000mws, many times our requirement.

Think of aam aadmi dear leaders & look beyond the tip of your noses!
