The Tale of the Great Indian Political Circus
by sudipta kirans sarkar on Jul 20, 2008 03:00 PM

The Indian political circus is back with clowns and jokers who can change colours, jump from one place to the other at a blink of the eye, talk funny and strange whenever they can and the oddest of the odd coming out to amuse!!! Some of these clowns can also take one by surprise by ripping them off their pockets and money.

On the other hand, are the spectators. Most of them are poor or struggling/illiterate who get extremely confused yet hooked to the show and who due to this great piece of entertainment often forgets during that they are destined to be poor. The rest are the few rich who relax at the best seats and enjoy sipping the shake that is made of Special Economic Zones, forced land acquisition, authorisation to open expensive shopping malls. Infact the Shake is given to the rich as a complementary by the clowns and perfomers of the circus.

After the show, the clowns and perfomers of the circus go back happy having entertained the spectators so well (especially the poor and strugglying)

The rich go back to their mansions remembering the moments of another great day of entertainment.

And the poor and the strugglying walk the lonely and depressive road to back home with rejuvenated worries of poverty, inflation, price rise and the continious anxiety of how to meet ends for the rest of their lives. However these clowns and jokers shall be back with Great Indian political circus to amuse them and rip them off once again!!!!.
