The deal is initially valid for 40 years and automatically renewable to the duration of 10 years each after expiry. So its a never ending deal which can be revoked by giving 1 year notice by the either party (reasons for such withdrawal must be stated). It is clearly stated that the sovereignty, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality, mutual benefit, reciprocity and due respect for each other's nuclear programmes will be followed. Commitment towards the prevention of proliferation of nuclear warheads is there which is in no way like signing NPT which has been against India’s foreign policy, all of us know that every citizen of the world is against any kind of nuclear war. Its so pity that none of our lawmakers understand the deal, in spite all of them are doing every bit possible to oppose/favor the deal. Positive Points: India will have access to fuel which it has always wanted to use for peaceful purposes. India is
