Had feared Centre wouldn't hold. Mr Gowda, as suspected, and now evident had bought political space to oppose US on CTBT by compromising with Islamic radicals. Now when they are backing Mayawati for alternate pole of polity along with Communists, his political compulsions made him a gravitate towards them. No that his decision is know, it opens up a new set of possibilities.
