every power source has side-effects. Will you stop driving your car to office because it releases C02 to the atmosphere. Heavy concentration of C02 in the atmosphere is sure to lead to massive and unprecedented climate change. Even the so-called wind-energy, solar energy bio-fuels have lot of side-effects. So we have to choose what to compromise on. Indian financial structure will not be killed by nuclear reactors. It will be killed by the heavy subsidy on petrol and diesel. Just imagine a rich guy who can afford to pay the full rate for diesel is paying just 1/3rd of the price for diesel. And after giving subsidy, government taxes diesel/petrol, thus creating a possible nightmare of accounting fiasco. The government is systemically killing the navaratna giants like IOC, HPCL etc and yet like the same broken record insist that western powers will destroy India. Man stop worshipping chaddi knickers and come back to reality.
