They say - "Truth is stranger than fiction" and how true! That all this is happening, despite full media glare is extremely shocking and utterly shameful.
But given the circumstances, I don't think anyone would have done any different. Those who laugh or express agony at this sort of behaviour (horse trading, airport naming etc)would've behaved in exactly the same way.
The opposition feels it is its divine right to trounce the govt. And the govt (with all its access to the coffers) would go to any extent to reverse the process.
