We import from Australia. We buy coal mines in other countries. As far as cost is concerned, if you critically need some thing you do not and can not afford to worry about its cost. And do not be a moron about security. No doubt it is a worry, but our security agencies will take care of it. No country is 100% secure, not even Peoples Republic of China. Try looking beyond your nose. There is more to country's politics and progress besides Italy and its daughter.
