RE:NUKE DEAL - REALITY - III
by Gopinathan P Nair on Jul 17, 2008 07:04 PM

Dear Shri Ravin Jadhavji : It is the hyde act that worries. Once the treaty is operational all our nuclear facilities including our scientists will be directly under the supervision of U.S. controlled Corporates or CIA. Without their approval you cannot do anything in our nuclear establishments including BARC or TIFR. In other words, our respected scientists may become slaves in our own country. Another thing is that U.S. or international agency can back-out from the deal without attracting any punitive actions. But if India does, there will be sanctions. Even if we sign the treaty, the treaty or ageny does not guarantee continous flow of uranium as per our needs. We will have to beg with the U.S.A each time we require the uranium. They may evenn pressure us for military assistance to fight for them with Taliban and other terrorists. And we will be unecessarily pitted against the Taliban and their associated outfits
