Enough of debating. Until the courage shown by former PM Narasimha Rao to unleash the Real India (I think he is the most courageous and far-sighted PM India has ever had), all India did was debate whether to lean to Russians or Americans and ended up getting no where. Poverty, underdevelopment and worst - underachievement was rife through those years. We debated and we debated for 43 long years until Mr Rao came on the scene and courageously led a minority Congress government on the path to reform and change. Even BJP-led government understood this. The post Narasimha Rao India is a brave and more decisive India that is now certain of what has to be done, this includes securing energy for its enormous economic growth. India will be the engine of the world - more than China, so get used to it. More countries will put their bets on India than China, if only Indian leaders can show decisiveness in some common but crucial issues for its economic growth. National leaders should stand for national issues, they should not be hijacked by narrow regional and insular parties and their leaders who don't share in wider national matters.
