The point is not the Nuclear Deal but a decision on who the country should be consorting with. Consider: Would you consort with the devil if he presented himself as the most appealing, charming, witty and urbane man/woman knowing his true nature?
Today the US stands discredited and for sound reasons post the recent wars. Further, its motives can only be suspect after Bush denounced India for rising food prices. Both McCain and Obama appear to be worldly wise and sensitive to world opinion. Both have declared support for a nuclear India. We can go in with better protection of our interests. In the worst case we can always give in - later.
I think the opposition camp has got it right but for all the wrong reasons. Includes the Left. So what. Long live the right step. Gives a chance later.
